Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and the makers of Lukkie ("we", "us") for your use of the Lukkie app and this website. By using Lukkie, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Lukkie.

What Lukkie is — and isn't

Lukkie is a tool for keeping your pets' records: vaccines, medications, supplies, routines, weigh-ins, and related notes.

Lukkie is not a veterinary service and does not provide veterinary or medical advice. It is not a medical device. Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for a consultation with a licensed veterinarian. Always rely on your vet for your pet's health decisions. Reminders and due dates in the app are conveniences based on what you enter — they are not a clinical schedule.

Your account

• You may use Lukkie as a guest with no account. Some features — cloud backup and syncing across devices — require you to create an account.
• Keep your login details private. You're responsible for activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information when signing up, and one account per person.
• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to create an account.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• use Lukkie to store or share content that is illegal, or personal data about other people without their permission;
• attempt to break, overload, probe, or disrupt the service or its security;
• reverse-engineer, resell, or scrape the service, or use it to build a competing product;
• misuse the account or sync system (for example by trying to access data that isn't yours).

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Your data and content

You own the records you put into Lukkie. You keep all rights to them.

To provide the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, and transmit your content only as needed to run Lukkie for you — syncing it between your devices, backing it up, and showing it back to you. We don't use it for anything else. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. See the Privacy Policy for the details.

You are responsible for keeping your own backup of anything important. The app's export feature exists for exactly this.

Cloud sync during beta

Cloud backup and sync are currently in beta and provided free of charge. We may later introduce paid plans, change which features are free, or adjust limits. If we do, we'll give reasonable notice for anything that affects data you've already stored. Guest (on-device only) use of Lukkie is not affected by any of this.

Availability and changes

• We aim to keep Lukkie working but don't guarantee it will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Because Lukkie is local-first, the app keeps working on your device even when sync or our servers are down.
• We may add, change, or remove features. We may discontinue the service, in which case we'll give you notice and time to export your data.

Disclaimers and liability

Lukkie is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements or that any data will be preserved without loss.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Lukkie. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

• You can stop using Lukkie at any time. Delete your account by emailing us; remove local data by clearing your browser's site data or uninstalling the app.
• We may suspend or terminate access if you materially break these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll flag it in the app or by email where we can. Continuing to use Lukkie after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes protections you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.
